The Settignano Hills Walking Tour Morning Picnic, is a fantastic way of exploring the wonders of the Tuscan countryside and taste its unique products!
We’ll meet in Florence at 9 am and take together bus number 10 from San Marco Square to reach, in about 15-20 min, the wonderful little square of Settignano.
We’ll head towards the typical Tuscan countryside: plenty of olive groves, cypresses, stone fences and breathtaking views.
The little village of Settignano and its surroundings have inspired many artists such as Michelangelo, Boccaccio, D’Annunzio and Mark Twain. These artists spent a long time here, looking for inspiration and enjoying the amazing panoramic views that you can get from the top of Settignano’s hills.
The tour consists in a 7-8km walk through the Tuscan hills around Florence, medium/easy difficulty, your guide will walk slowly as the purpose of the tour is to enjoy the views and experience the peaceful sensations that only the Tuscan countryside can give you. During our walk we will stop to enjoy a light picnic with Tuscan cheese, salami ham and a glass of red wine. Vegetarian and gluten free are also available on request.
The walk has a medium/easy difficulty. You need to be able to walk 8 km with some climb and remember to put good walking shoes on!
A minimum of 2 person per booking is required. Kids are welcome, but they need to be use to walk 8 km.
Price per person is 45 euro: included a local guide, bus ticket and a light picnic with 1 glass of wine per person
